Zadar: Investments in congress tourism are coming

It is a branch that is important outside the main part of the tourist season, and Zadar wants to take the biggest part of the cake, which, in addition to all its natural and cultural beauties, plans to attract guests with two new large congress halls that are being built in hotel complexes.

A new building is being built in the newly renovated hotel complex near Zadar. Congress hall on two floors, which will be able to accommodate a total of 600 people at the end of the year.

- We took advantage of the beautiful position of our peninsula for sunset so that the glass wall will dominate the hall. All prerequisites have been created in order to extend the season of congress and event tourism, said Danijela Stanić Halapija, director of sales and marketing of the hotel.

By autumn, the first five-star hotel in Zadar will be built, which, in addition to the luxurious interior, will also have two congress halls.

- From the beginning, we believe that Zadar deserves to host all kinds of events at the highest level. It is well connected to Europe, close to the capital and desirable to large companies that organize various meetings and congresses at least once a year, said Burak Baykan, regional director of the hotel chain.

Year-round tourism is the main goal. And that's why in Zadar, after a season that can already be seen to be successful, they are intensively preparing for the postseason.

- Now at the last MITEX, the congress exchange in Zagreb, we talked with a really large number of foreign agents and even from further markets from Canada, China, said Iva Bencun, director of the TZ of the city of Zadar.

- Zadar and the county already have an offer for the segment of small and medium gatherings of up to 500 participants, with these new capacities we will have an additional offer, explained Mihaela Kadija, director of the TZ of Zadar County.

When this is combined with natural beauty, gastronomy and oenological offer, Zadar County is an ideal destination for all types of business trips. He will present it in May in Frankfurt and at the World Business Tourism Exchange.
