Banja Luka Stock Exchange: Only two stocks close green

BANJA LUKA – When investors grew accustomed to mild losses booked during summer months, awaiting an aftermath rush of optimism in September, the performance on the BLSE this week was quite the opposite.

Trading today could best be described by the fact that merely two stocks closed green today. Panic selloff, which started after the opening bell, pushed all three indices into the negative territory. FIRS again had the worst performance, shedding 3.16% of its value, while ERS10 and BIRS dropped around 1.2%, nearing albeit 1,400 points.

Turnover was not as high as could be during selloff, as it totaled BAM 65,568, BAM 311,710 of which was realized in two takeovers. Namely, 28.82% of total number of Beminda Banja Luka (BLSE:BMND-R-A) shares or  507,807 were traded at BAM 0.4, worth BAM 203,122. Veterinarska stanica Novi grad (BLSE:VSNG-R-A) traded 52% of the total number of shares or 542,940 at BAM 0.2, gathering BAM 108,588 turnover.

Turnover totaled BAM 293,858 on the regular market, where Telekom Srpske (BLSE:TLKM-R-A) was most liquid with BAM 100,028 turnover at average price of BAM 1.24. Cvjećara Banja Luka (BLSE:CVJR-R-A) was again targeted by investors, traded at unchanged price of BAM 0.8, generating BAM 94,971 worth turnover.

With maximal price drop of 20%, Fruktona Banja Luka (BLSE:FRUK-R-A) and Glas Srpske Banja Luka (BLSE:GLSS-R-A) were top losers, booking the lowest values in a year, BAM 0.128 and BAM 0.64. They were accompanied by Elektro Doboj (BLSE:ELDO-R-A) which lost 9.52% and fell to the average price of BAM 0.95, and Elektrokrajina Banja Luka (BLSE:EKBL-R-A) plummeting 9.11% and falling the lowest in a year, to BAM 0.81.

Among closed-ended investment funds, Polar invest fond (BLSE:PLRP-R-A) booked the biggest drop of 10% to the average price of BAM 6.75, while Zepter fond (BLSE:ZPTPP-R-A) shed 9.43% and dropped to the average price of BAM 6.82, the lowest average values realized by the two funds in a year. Only BLB-profit fond (BLSE:BLBP-R-A) gained 2.26% to the average price of BAM 9.49.
