WAZ buys Štampa Belgrade
Author/source: SEEbiz / MinaBELGRADE – German WAZ became the new owner of Belgrade-based press distribution company Štampa sistem, Štampa press, Štampa komerc.
German concern WAZ, publishing Politika, Belgrade political daily, and Dnevnik, Novi Sad daily, appointed new management lead by Peter Lange as new general Manager, writes Danas. Former General Manager, Slobodan Kutlešić, will continue working as an advisor, state in WAZ.
The new General Manager, Peter Lange, called Štampa a sleeping giant with great potential for development, although in need of large investments.
‘Štampa is a distinguished part of Serbian history, but unfortunately lost its significance in the last several years. Together with all our associates, we wish to regain it’, said Lange.
WAZ focuses its activities in SE Europe, while distribution and sales were named as main reasons for purchasing Štampa.
