ZAGREB - "I am not a fan of either Jure Radić, head of IGH, or Željko Žderić from Konstruktor, but I must comment the failure of the job in Montenegro", Radimir Čačić, leader of the Croatian Peoples' Party (HNS), said.

The government should have aided the consortium to get EUR 3bn worth job on construction of Bar-Boljare highway in Montenegro, which would entice the entire construction sector.

"The state issued guarantees for Istrian highway in the past, which could have potentially burdened the budget", Čačić warned and accused the government of not using all options.

HNS leader also criticized the bailout model divised to stimulate sale of flats, which has already been included in the previous program of stimulated housing construction, he explained.

"This is better than nothing, but it is not a solution. This is why we presented a widescale program in the Parliament", Čačić stressed.

Commenting farmers' protests, Čačić said these were justified as the government did not to realize all previous promises.

"Around HRK 200mn is lost annually on blue diesel", he warned, which ends up at the gray market. According to Ina (ZSE:INA-R-A), some 60,000 tons are used without a specific purpose.
